TLS 1.2 SSO Transport Layer Security

We hope this message finds you well.  We appreciate your continued partnership with Frontline Education and your commitment to maintaining secure and reliable integrations with our platform.

We are writing to inform you of an important upcoming security update regarding connectivity to Frontline Education services.

What's Changing:

Beginning April 25th, 2026:

  • Frontline Education will require Transport Layer Security (TLS) version 1.2 or higher for all inbound and outbound connections to our platform.
  • Systems or integrations currently using TLS 1.0 or TLS 1.1 will no longer be able to connect after this date.

How It Works

From an executive security standpoint, TLS 1.2 is a widely adopted industry standard that provides stronger encryption, improved integrity protection, and enhanced resistance to modern cyber threats.

This enhancement helps ensure the confidentiality and integrity of student and staff data while it is transmitted.

Action Items

Verify Compliance

To verify your district’s compliance with TLS 1.2 or higher, please visit frontlineeducation.com.

If you encounter any access issues, it may indicate that your network uses older technologies. In such cases, we strongly recommend that your technical team verify support for TLS 1.2 or higher and implement the necessary updates.

Review Current Configurations

We encourage you to review your current configurations and work with your technical teams or vendors to confirm compatibility prior to the effective date. If you have any questions or need assistance, please contact our Support team.

Thank you for your attention to this important update and for your continued partnership.

Best regards
Frontline Education
