Import Students Directly to ELLA

For clients who have purchased our Connex download, the steps below explain how to bulk import EB students into SuccessEd's ELLA application directly from the district's Student Information System (SIS).

  1. Hover over ELLA in the top navigation bar, then click Import Students. import ella students.png
  2. Choose the Campus from the drop-down. import students.png
  3. (Optional) Choose the EB Status from the drop-down.
  4. (Optional) Check Show students with any language other than English.
  5. From the search results, choose the students who need to imported by clicking the box to the left of the Student ID. You can also import all students on a page by clicking the box next to the "Student ID" header, as shown in the image below. choose and import.png
  6. Scroll to the bottom of the screen and click Import.
Note: When the students are imported into the application, the program automatically marks each student as being "Accessible" in Bilingual/ESL on the "Enrollment" tab and "Active" in Bilingual/ESL on the "Program Compliance" tab.
