In preparing for upcoming state assessments, your "District Administrator" has the ability to update/edit the following areas related to STAAR in the IEP:

  • accommodations
  • test types
  • subjects
  • language
  • comments

Following the STAAR/EOC/TELPAS administrations, when official scores have been received by your "District Testing Coordinator," your "District Administrator" can upload these scores in bulk into the application.

State Assessment Information in the Students Tab

State Assessments Tab

  • The "State Assessments" tab houses any scores that have been uploaded for the student in the application. If your student tested in the district, their updated scores should appear here after they have been uploaded.
  • If you need to manually input a student’s STAAR/EOC/TELPAS scores into the SuccessEd application, you can do so on this screen by clicking the Add New Record button located under the applicable section.

Student Services Tab

  • The "Student Services" tab provides users with a whole-child view of the supports a student receives. This can be particularly helpful for districts that utilize the SuccessEd application for various programs (e.g., Special Education, Section 504, RTI/MTSS, Bilingual-ESL).
  • The current state testing recommendations in place for a student can be viewed on the "Student Services" tab. This includes the committee making the recommendation, test type, subject, language, and specific accommodations.

State Assessment Page in the IEP Document

  • In order for the student to have state assessment accommodations for the current school year, the student must have a 2022-23 "State Assessment" page completed in a locked IEP meeting.
  • If a student only has a "State Assessment" page for a previous school year in the last locked IEP meeting, then those accommodations will not feed to reports, nor will the accommodations feed to any exports (e.g., Testhound).
