Report Troubleshooting

This article provides step-by-step guidance for troubleshooting issues with the ELLA report in SuccessEd. It explains how report triggers work, how to verify ELL plan data, and how to resolve common discrepancies such as missing students, incorrect state assessments, or incomplete subject data. Use this guide to ensure accurate ELL plan reporting and data integrity.

Report Triggers for ELLA Reports

The ELLA report includes students based on the following conditions:

  • The student has a locked ELL plan form
  • The "State Assessments" section is completed
  • The assessment date is on or before the “Decision as of” date

Initial Troubleshooting Steps

Before reviewing report results, confirm that all relevant ELL plans are properly locked.

Run the Student by Form Report

Use the “Student by Form” report to identify any ELL plans still in "Draft" status.

Recommended report parameters:

  • Program Statuses: Select All
  • Form Name: ELLA – ELL Plan
  • Form Lock Status: Draft

If any forms appear in "Draft" status, lock them to ensure they are included in the ELLA report.

Viewing and Troubleshooting Report Data

Use the table below to identify common issues and their causes.

If...Then...
The state assessments shown on the report do not match the latest ELL plan decisions...The ELL plan is not locked. Ensure the most recent ELL plan is locked so updated assessment data is included in the report.
The student does not appear on the report...One or more selected report parameters do not match the student’s data. Verify filters such as Campus, Status, Grade, Case Manager, Academic Year, or Test Type.
One or more subjects are missing for a student...Changes were made to district customizable shared lists, removing previously selected subject values. Review and restore list values if needed.
