SPP Indicator 12

SPP Indicator 12 Triggers:

The “Yes” option of the ECI Referral radio is the trigger for a student to display on the SPP Indicator 12 report.

The Initial Consent for Evaluation date on Program Compliance is automatically populated to save the Consent for Evaluation form when:

  • The Type of Evaluation is an Initial
  • The response to ECI Referral is “Yes”
  • A date is provided in the parent’s Signature Date field. The ECI Referral radio displays on draft of the Consent for Evaluation form for all students under the age of 3

Note: If the district has opted to use another Consent for Evaluation form, it is recommended that the evaluation writer include a note in the FIIE indicating whether the student was an ECI referral or referred by someone else to clarify whether the student will display on the appropriate SPP Indicator 12 or 11 report. For these students, the ECI Referral option and Initial Consent for Evaluation date can be manually entered on Program Compliance.

Before running your SPP Indicator 12 Report:

If the district has opted to use a different Consent for Evaluation form, the Initial Consent for Evaluation date may be manually entered on Program The ECI Referral question will need to be marked ‘Yes’. Marking the question ‘No’ will trigger SPP Indicator 11.

  • Run a Custom Include Initial Consent for Evaluation field and Special Education Status.
  • Export out to Excel and filter down to just Initials and DNQs.
  • Run the PEIMS 163 History Report for students with a Program Status of Initial to give you a list of students from the current year.
Note: DNQ does not create a PEIMS 163 record.
  • Run the Students by Form report to ensure all draft FIES are locked.
    Suggested report parameters:
    • Program Statuses: Referral, DNQ, and Initial.
    • Form Name: SE FIE - Full and Individual Evaluation
    • Form Lock Status: Draft.
  • If the district has opted to use a different FIE document:
    • then SPP Indicator 12 will not display student; or
    • the Full and Individual Evaluation form may be locked with just the Date, Report Title: Full Individual and Initial Evaluation, and Parent Name fields completed.
